Libraries Consultation 2026
Added on 01 April 2026
Northumberland County Council (NCC) has launched a consultation about how they will deliver the Northumberland Library Service going forward.
Residents, community groups, businesses, members and non-members of Northumberland Libraries can have their say on several proposals.
The public consultation asks people to give their views on the future of libraries, including:
- how NCC work with communities
- new ways of working generally
- opening hours and mobile library routes
- using new technologies
- how NCC deliver events, activities and information
NCC want to hear from as many people as possible to make sure everyone’s voice is heard. .
NCC recommends reading the background information and proposals before completing the consultation.
